Only issue was the positive connection was not the same as the original. The original connector on the positive line is a female disconnect that fit on a male disconnect. the new sender positive connection is designed to use a spade terminal. So a new piece of wire had to be cut with one end using a male disconnect and the other a spade terminal. This all was a bit cumbersome due to the limited area to work in since it's the top of the fuel tank, behind the rear seat under the back dash

The unit is great and all the parts are included. HOWEVER, in my particular case, an 81, the sending unit was bolted in with different bolts, not the apparently standard 10-32 screws(fine thread) that are included in the kit. After two hours of struggle, I realized my problem was not me poorly aligning the unit but that the bolt threads did not match. I reused my old bolts and it went like butter. So, just check your threads. Dont be like me and waste a morning.
